Frequently asked questions

Honest answers to the questions we’re asked most — grouped by topic. If something isn’t covered here, we’re happy to talk it through.

Getting started

Do I need a consultation first?
Yes. Every new client begins with a comprehensive consultation so we can assess your skin, understand your goals and recommend only what genuinely suits you. Injectable treatments are prescription-only and always require a consultation with our doctor before anything is carried out.
What happens at the first visit?
We take time to understand your concerns and history, examine your skin, and talk openly about what is — and isn’t — appropriate for you. You’ll receive an honest, individualised plan, along with clear information about any benefits, risks and recovery. There’s no obligation to proceed on the day.
How do I book an appointment?
You can book a consultation online, or call us during clinic hours and we’ll help you find a time. Every new client begins with a consultation, so that’s the right place to start. There’s never any pressure or obligation to proceed.
What should I bring to my appointment?
It helps to bring a list of any medications, supplements or medical conditions, along with details of any previous treatments you’ve had. If you have specific concerns or goals in mind, jot them down — it makes the consultation more useful for you.
How should I prepare for a skin treatment?
We’ll give you specific guidance when you book. Generally it helps to arrive with clean skin and to avoid strong active ingredients or significant sun exposure beforehand — but your pre-care advice is always tailored to your treatment.

Our clinic & safety

Is the clinic doctor-led?
Yes. Every treatment plan is guided by a registered medical practitioner. Prescription treatments are assessed and prescribed by our doctor, and treatments are carried out by experienced, qualified clinicians.
Is the clinic AHPRA-registered?
Our practitioners are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and prescription treatments are provided under medical supervision in line with Australian regulations. You’re welcome to ask about our practitioners’ qualifications and registrations at any time.
Are injectable treatments prescription-only?
Yes. Anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers involve prescription medicines, so they can only be provided after a consultation with our doctor, who assesses whether the treatment is appropriate for you. For this reason, we don’t advertise these treatments by product or price as a set fee.
Can I have treatment if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?
Please let us know. Some treatments aren’t recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and your safety comes first — we’ll only ever recommend what is appropriate for you, and this is carefully assessed at your consultation.
Do you treat anyone under 18?
No. Cosmetic injectable treatments are not provided to anyone under 18. This is part of our commitment to responsible and appropriate care.

Treatments & results

Will my results look natural?
Our approach is deliberately conservative — we aim for subtle, refreshed, natural-looking results rather than anything obvious. Outcomes do vary between individuals, and we’ll always give you an honest view of what is realistic for you. We’d rather do less and review than over-treat.
How long do results last?
This depends on the treatment and on the individual. Some treatments are temporary and need maintenance over time, while others build gradually over a course. None of our treatments are permanent. We’ll explain the likely duration for your specific plan during your consultation, so you can make an informed decision.
Does treatment hurt?
Comfort varies from person to person and between treatments. Many treatments are quick and well tolerated, and we’ll discuss comfort options with you beforehand. Some treatments can involve mild, temporary discomfort, redness or tenderness — we’ll always be honest about what to expect.
Is there any downtime?
It depends on the treatment. Some have little to no downtime, while others may involve temporary redness, swelling or sensitivity for a short period afterwards. We’ll talk you through the expected recovery for your treatment at consultation so you can plan around it.
What if a treatment isn’t right for me?
We’ll tell you. Medicine comes first here, which means if a treatment isn’t suitable — or simply isn’t needed — we’ll say so and talk through any alternatives. An honest recommendation is part of every consultation, even when the answer is to do nothing at all.

Pricing, booking & your visit

How is pricing decided?
Because prescription treatments are tailored to each person, pricing for injectables is discussed during your consultation rather than advertised as a set fee. For skin treatments and consultations, indicative pricing is shared openly so you know what to expect. Your consultation always includes an honest recommendation — including when a treatment isn’t needed.
Do you offer payment options?
We’ll explain the costs involved clearly before you decide anything, so there are no surprises. If you’d like to discuss the options available to you, just ask at your consultation and we’ll talk it through.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for reasonable notice if you need to change or cancel an appointment, so we can offer the time to someone else. We’ll explain any specifics when you book. If something comes up, just get in touch and we’ll do our best to find a time that works for you.
Where are you, and is there parking?
Our clinic is in Double Bay, NSW. You’ll find the full address and a map on our contact page. There is street and nearby public parking in the area, and we’re happy to share directions when you book.
What aftercare and follow-up do you provide?
You’ll receive clear, written aftercare guidance tailored to your treatment, and a follow-up is included as standard so we can check you’re comfortable and happy. If you have any questions between visits, you’re always welcome to get in touch.

No. The information on this site is general in nature and isn’t a substitute for individual medical advice. Any procedure carries risks as well as benefits, and what’s right for one person may not be right for another. Please book a consultation for advice specific to you.
